On June 12, 2026, Bangkok Synthetics Co., Ltd. (BST), led by Mr. Sunthorn Prasopchingchana, Managing Director, reaffirmed the company's commitment to conducting business alongside social responsibility by organizing the “CSR Day BKK Year 3” activity under the concept of “Turning Waste into Merit.” The event brought together executives and employees to participate in activities promoting the Circular Economy concept and creating ecological benefits at Wat Chak Daeng, Samut Prakan Province.
The event was graciously supported by Phra Maha Pranom Dhammalangkaro, Abbot of Wat Chak Daeng, a renowned monk recognized for applying Buddhist principles to environmental management. He delivered a Dharma talk on the topic of “Dharma and the Environment” to BST executives and employees.
One of the highlights of this year's activity was BST's integration of Circular Economy principles throughout various processes and activities conducted during the day. In addition to participating in the event, employees were encouraged to donate recyclable waste and contribute to the preservation and support of Buddhism through the offering of blanket sets made from recycled plastic bottles as part of a Sanghadana ceremony. Employees also offered lunch to the monks and contributed financial support amounting to 43,000 Baht for the repair of compost production tanks and the purchase of pedestal fans for the temple, as an act of merit and goodwill.
Participants also attended the Dharma lecture delivered by the abbot and concluded the event by working together to build two sets of floating waste barriers, providing valuable learning opportunities on how waste can be transformed into practical environmental solutions.
As a result of this activity, BST employees collectively donated more than 3,000 plastic bottles, which can be recycled and further processed into yarn for weaving up to 48 sets of monks’ robes.
The “CSR Day BKK Year 3” activity not only reflected BST’s commitment as an organization dedicated to Sustainable Development, but also strengthened internal engagement by inspiring behavioral change and raising awareness of the importance of waste segregation at the source. The initiative contributes to the creation of a sustainable and safe circular society while reinforcing BST’s core values of Proactive & Agile, Collaborative, and Effective in a tangible and meaningful way.
