On Saturday, September 20, 2025, Bangkok Synthetics Co., Ltd. (BST), in collaboration with the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and a group of companies in the Map Ta Phut area, organized a major marine debris cleanup event on International Coastal Cleanup Day 2025. The cleanup covered over 14 kilometers of coastline along Laem Charoen Beach-Suchada Beach in Mueang Rayong District and Nam Rin Beach-Payoon Beach in Ban Chang District, Rayong Province. This year marked the 23rd consecutive year of the event, with over 3,000 volunteers uniting to collect more than 4 tons of coastal waste. The objective of this activity was to demonstrate the industrial sector's responsibility in the area and to raise awareness about marine environmental conservation, with a focus on proper waste segregation, an essential skill today. It also promoted sustainable coastal conservation.

The opening ceremony was honored by Mr. Kalachai Thepworechai, Deputy Governor of Rayong Province, as the chairman, along with Mr. Chagaj Pattanasri, Director of the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate Office, who spoke about the initiative's intentions, and Mr. Somkiat Boonsaksri, BST's Sustainable Development Manager, as well as numerous volunteers who participated.

This year, BST was responsible for the area around the Khao Yot small-scale fishing community, where various activities took place, including releasing aquatic animals, beach cleanup, and waste segregation. These activities promoted community participation in environmental conservation, raised awareness of marine debris issues, helped restore the ecosystem to its natural state, created sustainable livelihoods for fishermen, and continued the "30+ Island Clean Up So Cool Mission 2025" to create clean and sustainable seas in the area.

BST shares the common goal of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are 17 global goals covering economic, social, and environmental issues. These goals aim to collaboratively push for people to live good lives without harming the planet and to cope with change across three dimensions of sustainability: ESG Policy (Environmental, Social & Governance). This concept relates to the sustainable development of organizations, including the successful collaboration between BST and the community, fostering strong relationships and mutual understanding. This serves as a model for building a network of cooperation for sustainable mutual benefit.
